Can you wear a shoe with a laced ankle brace?
My little sister sprained her ankle, and the doctor prescribed a laced ankle "support". I figure thats like, the same as a brace. She is all excited because she thinks she'll need crutches, but I would think this could be worn while wearing a shoe, so crutches wouldnt be needed. Am I correct, or will she be on crutches while her ankle heals?
The doctor didn't give her crutches, but we have some here at our home. She's planning to use those.
allow it a day or two to heal, but do not use the crutches unless to doctor said to use them. She will become to dependent on them and the injured ankle will strengthen properly. Wear the brace and follow the dr.'s orders for rehab.
